Jhumma Mitra is back in action with Shapath

Jhumma Mitra

Yesterday, we at Tellychakkar.com wrote about Akshay Sethi playing the tiger man in one of the upcoming stories of Life OK’s Shapath (Fireworks Productions).

Now, we hear that seasoned actress Jhumma Mitra who was last seen in Colors’ Balika Vadhu will essay a very integral role in this story.

As per credible sources, Jhumma will play the mother of the tiger man, essayed by Akshay. The lady will be a simple woman who would love her son to a great extent, and will know of all his wrong doings. She will always try to make him understand that whatever he is doing is wrong and he should stop it. However, Akshay’s character will be so possessed that he will not adhere to his mother’s words. Every time, the son would go out as tiger man to kill people, the mother will go behind him in order to stop him.

Also, the lady will end up being the main suspect for the crime as she will be seen in every crime spot. However, only towards the end, will the cops get to know of her son being involved.

When contacted, Jhumma told us, “Yes, I am shooting for the Shapath story. In fact, the story is so very interesting that I had to take it up. Furthermore, the climax of the story is what urged me to do it. It is when the mother takes the role of a saviour and the audience will wait with bathed breath to see if she saves the son, or saves the people from her son.”

This will be the comeback TV project for Jhumma after her stint in Balika Vadhu. The charming lady was out of country for a nation-wide and international trip as part of her vacation plan.

Here’s wishing you all the luck, Jhumma!!
