Bengali beauty Jhumma Mitra, who was last seen  on TV in Jeannie Aur Juju, will now feature in an entirely different avatar in Colors’ Balika Vadhu (Sphere Origin).

Shared a source, “She will be playing Pushkar's (Parichay Sharma) mother, Kanwari Devi. Pushkar is mentally challenged child and very attached to his mother. Kanwari Devi will be a matured lady who would be proud of her son.”  

When we asked Jhumma she confirmed the news and said, “It is an entirely different role than all other characters. I am working on myself to depict a role of a mature, understanding and loving woman.” 

She continued, “Thanks to Director Siddharth Sengupta who is helping me in every step of the process and is pointing out the tiniest of details.”
