Actress Jhumma Mitra, last seen in Colors’ Balika Vadhu turned out to be the ‘good luck charm’ on the sets of SAB TV’s newest show, Dr. Bhanumati on Duty (Optimystix).

The lady who shares a good rapport with the production house was given the privilege to shoot for the opening scene in the first episode.

Though it was a small role, Jhumma obliged to do it, and she enjoyed being part of it.

Says Jhumma, “It was just one scene, and I was little sceptical about doing it. But the team convinced me and since I have done some great work with them in the past, I accepted it. In fact, I was told that they wanted me as the good luck charm as it was the start of the series.”

As per sources, Jhumma will play the role of a Rajasthani woman whose son would be contemplating suicide. Bhanumathi will be shown jumping into action to save the boy.

The actress further adds, “It was nice working with Kavita Kaushik again. Being part of a show written by Amit Aryan is always a pleasure. I am looking forward to doing many more characters in Bhanumathi on Duty.”
