You know that sinking feeling when a favorite book or series ends? Well, you might have to face it again, what with Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar coming to a closure.

This historical show, produced by Balaji Telefilms, will wrap up its shoot today (July 21).

The leads of the drama, Paridhi Sharma and Rajat Tokas, were the most favorite onscreen jodi on television, becoming an instant hit for their sizzling chemistry and acting chops. As expected, this show would have a happy ending. Jodha and Akbar would live a happy life, while Salim (Ravi Bhatia) would leave Anarkali to marry Maan bai (Jyotsna Chandola).

Ravi Bhatia shared his feeling on the show’s conclusion, “It feels sad that the show is ending. It’s been seven months of Jodha Akbar for me. My journey has been very beautiful. I have worked very hard for my role of Salim. I am quite satisfied with my journey and I hope people keep loving me.”

He added, “I have learned a lot from Rajat and Paridhi. Rajat is a focused actor, while Paridhi mam’s taught me to be calm and composed. She is very matured and dedicated.”

The cast will celebrate the last day of shoot by cutting a grand cake on the sets. We tried calling Rajat and Paridhi, but they remained unavailable to comment.

Jodha Akbar will be replaced by Tashan-e-Ishq.
