And now, we have been told that the actor has opted out owing to prior commitments. The actor who rose to fame with Yeh Jawani Ta Ra Ri Ri and has also played Shahid Kapoor’s younger version in Haider, was finalised for the role of the Telugu poet known for his humour and wit. But while drawing the contract, Anshuman’s dates got clashed with the web-series he had signed long back. Since he has already shot for few episodes of the series, ditching it would have been unprofessional on his part. Shared a source, “The actor discussed the issue with the production team, and tried to find a midway but things couldn’t work out. Sadly they had to part ways. The hunt for the male lead has now begun all over.” When we called Anshuman he confirmed that the deal fell flat but did not want to share details.
