Zee TV’s popular show Kaala Teeka (DJ’s – A Creative Unit) will take a generation leap in the first week of February!!  And with this, the show will see the little girls Kaali and Gauri growing up. Yes, the girls entering will be Simran Pareenja and Fenil Umrigar. Simran last seen in & TV’s Bhagyalakshmi will play the role of Kaali, while Fenil who was part of Yum Hai Hum will play Gauri.  Rohan Gandotra of Everest fame will play the male lead, Yug. This will be Rohan’s second stint with Zee TV, after Qubool Hai.  Coming to the story line, Kaala Teeka will take a leap of 14 years. The story will see Kaali and Gauri growing up, following the same superstitious beliefs. While Kaali will be the more intelligent, confident girl, Gauri will be shown reaping rewards of Kaali’s success. Yug will be shown to be an NRI, who would get back to his home town. The guy will be completely against the superstitious beliefs, and will raise his voice whenever needed.  When contacted, Simran confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I am entering Kaala Teeka post the leap. I will play Kaali.” Simran was earlier finalized to play the lead in Panorama Entertainment’s upcoming Colors’ show. However, with the show getting delayed, Simran has moved on.  We tried calling Fenil, but did not get through to her.  Rohan on his part said, “Please call me after few days.” With the leap happening, the little girls Sargam Khurana (Kaali) and Adaa Narang (Gauri) will bid adieu to the show.  If sources are to be believed, the post leap drama will start with Gauri being a popular singer.
