MUMBAI: Kapil Sharma is the undisputed king of comedy when it comes to television, and there is no doubt about it!

He rose to fame with the comedy reality television show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007 and took home the coveted trophy, and after that, there has been no looking back for him. While he was subject to innumerable controversies, he still holds a firm place in the hearts of the fans. His shows in the past worked fabulously for him, and he has many A-Lister Bollywood celebrities bursting into laughter with his jokes.

But what makes Kapil more admirable is that he is not a superstar but a people’s star. Right from his first on television to his stint in Punjabi shows, people relate to Kapil in many ways, and we can't deny the fact that he is humble and respectful at the same time. He is hard working and a self-made man, and everytime we see him on TV, he makes us realize that he is for us and he is one of us.

He has not limited himself to his comfort zone but always has tried to push the envelope by trying new things like films, Punjabi cinema, and new concepts on his reality show. While he was seen as a host on The Kapil Sharma Show so far, this time, he has tried something new. In the episodes that passed, we saw him getting into a fresh character called ‘Ustaad Medium Begam Ali Khan’.
