KBC and the magic of Big B is back on Sony Entertainment Television. There was not much of a doubt that the reality show produced by Big Synergy will once again strike a chord with the masses, like all its previous seasons. And bingo...season 6 has opened with an awesome response and its first episode garnered an impressive number of 6.1 TVR. Saturday’s (8 September) episode bagged 5.3 TVR.
Furthermore, in key demographic segments like SEC A and B homes, it has delivered 7.7 and 8.3 respectively. The stupendous ratings of KBC 2012 this week makes it the biggest opening on television this year. The show has broken all previous records and has had the highest opening out of all three seasons on the channel. Powered by its campaign ‘Sirf Gyan Hi Aapko Aapka Haq Dilaata Hai’ and the charisma of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, KBC has emerged a clear winner amongst the viewers.

KBC was launched at the weekend slot from Friday to Sunday at 8:30 pm on 7 September 2012 with the rendition of a powerful narrative on ‘Gyan’ by none other than the one and only Amitabh Bachchan in his classic baritone. KBC was viewed by over 29 million viewers across the country in the first week of launch. The show has also shown its wide reach, appealing to audiences across all age groups and geographies.
