Amidst the array of comedy dramas served on a platter to the TV viewing audience, ace producer Ashwini Dheer (Garima Productions) is set to come up with the much-awaited series Khatmal E Ishq on SAB TV. 

The upcoming comedy series will introduce popular actors Vishal Malhotra and Umang Jain as leads in its inaugural finite story. 

Vishal Malhotra has been roped in to essay the role of a traffic cop who is known for controlling the traffic with his dance moves. 

However, we have come to hear that there’s something unique to this avatar of Vishal. And it is that the role has been inspired from the famous traffic cop Ranjit Singh who is from Indore. 

Our source tells us, “Ranjit Singh is known for controlling the traffic with his popular MJ dance moves. He has grabbed attention of many with this act, and is no less that a celebrity out in Indore. Vishal Malhotra plays a similar role in the show.”

When we contacted Vishal, he seemed to be clueless about it and maintained that, “All I can say is that this particular character that I am playing in Khatmal E Ishq is that of a dancing cop.” 

However when we reached out to the producer of the show Ashwini Dheer, he called it as a coincidence. He said, “It’s just a coincidence. I had this thought in mind for a long time. Later I got to know that such kinds of dancing cops exist in real too. Believe it or not, I was clueless about it.”
