Hot and handsome Manoj Chandila who is otherwise a fitness freak, hitting the gym almost everyday has now got to hold himself back when it comes to exercises and rigorous workouts. The reason for this is that, the actor was recently diagnosed with a back problem!! Manoj who is presently seen in Sony TV’s Desh Ki Beti Nandini as Abhay, was on the lookout for new work when a nagging back pain forced him to see his doctor. And this was when an MRI scan of the back detected a problem, which meant that he had to take necessary precautions, medications and rest. Says Manoj, “The last month has been tough on me. Though the doctor says that my slip disc problem is not that intense, I need to be careful. I have been restricted from doing any kind of exercise, whether it is walking on a treadmill, or working out in a gym. It’s been a month now since I hit the gym. I have been prescribed few medicines to strengthen my back, and I am taking life easy at the moment.” Manoj who came close to bagging a good show had to drop out of it owing to the back problem. “Once I was diagnosed with the problem, I found it apt to give my body sometime, before I go all out working for long hours. Yes, I did almost get a good offer, but I believe that if one has good health, opportunities will come knocking. I believe there is always a tomorrow.” Before closing, Manoj tells us, “Well, with all the precautions taken, I am getting back to shape. I am fit and fine, rearing to go now.” Truly said, Manoj!!
