Meet Anang Desai - the Guest Editor of Tellychakkar.com

Check the slideshow above There are good actors and there are good human beings. And there is Anang Desai, who is both. An industry veteran, he is an institution in himself. Tellychakkar.com office was honoured as Anang came down as the Guest Editor. Wearing a striped shirt and a black pair of trousers, he looked absolutely regal. “I love the office. Thanks a lot for having me,” said the man while sipping his cup of tea and soaking in the newsy ambience. He has been a part of many movies and shows, but he is known for his babuji avatar in Khichdi. Last seen in Sony TV’s Chhanchhan, the actor shared, “We could have managed to run for a year, but then there are things that actors have no hold on.” We agree, Mr Desai. Talking about his cult project, Khichdi, he said, “The way Atish (writer) had conceptualized the story and every character graph was commendable. We had so much fun shooting where we had to control our laughter before mouthing the dialogues.” The actor is also pretty kicked about his stint in Cars 2. Said Anang: “I have lent my voice to the character of Finn Mcmissile in the Hindi dubbed version of the movie. It was a great experience since you don’t get to do this on a regular basis. The film is all about cars and it was exciting to be the voice of an interesting car (smiles). Anang will also be seen in a film directed by Raman Kumar that portrays the sad event of honour killing. The film titled Jai Jataram will be released after Diwali and will see him playing the antagonist. “I seriously do not support such actions, and had a real tough time enacting those scenes.” The actor is currently awaiting other TV projects but promised to get back on the small screen soon. “I had great fun. I had a great time with the team,” he signed off. Well it was our pleasure to have you in our den, Mr Desai. (We will be uploading the full video interview of him soon).
