Talented actress Nayana Palit, who was seen in soaps like Tobu Bandhi Khelaghar, Tumi Ele Tai and Dugga Dugga, has been roped in to essay the role of a Daayan in Colors Bangla's Taranath Tantrik (Greentouch Entertainment).

Nayana’s character will be introduced this week.

When Tellychakkar.com contacted Nayana to know more about her role in the serial, she shared, “I am playing the role of a super powerful Daayan, created to destroy Taranath Tantrik (played by Tota Roy Chowdhury).  

“This is the first time that I am playing a horror role,” she added.

So, how does it feel to play a horror role and that too of a Daayan’s role? She replied, “It’s obviously a larger than life character but me being a sucker for horror movies, loved playing the role. Sometimes I felt odd laughing out too loudly but overall it was fun.”

“I am ichhadhari here so I have two looks: one pretty and one yucky. You know the makeup team took hours to make me look scary. Initially, I was looking like a cute ghost so they had to put extra efforts to make me look bhayanak,” she added laughing out loud.

When quizzed if she believes in supernatural things, she quipped, “Oh yeah, I absolutely believe in everything supernatural. As a child I believed in fairies and unicorns (I still believe in them) and now I think if there is both light and darkness in the world then when there is God, there must be Satan and his disciples too. It’s my belief. I often wonder what happens to the spirits when we die!”  

The actress has tried a new hairstyle. So, when asked what made her go for a makeover, she said, “Oh I do makeovers from time to time. I love experimenting with my look, that’s just me.”
