She’s been the voice of Indian Idol, having hosted the show’s first three editions but Mini Mathur-Khan will not be returning for the fourth season. Confirming this news Mini says “Yes, it’s true that I’m unlikely to host Indian Idol 4. However, I will definitely return for the fifth season.” When asked for her reason to refuse Indian Idol 4, Mini says “I’m not doing the show for personal reasons.” There was some talk of Mini working in her husband Kabir Khan’s forthcoming film. However, rubbishing such talks she says “Kabir will be shooting his next film entirely in New York but I’m not travelling with him. I’ll let you know of my reason to miss Indian Idol 4 in the days ahead.” Speculation is also rife that Mini’s co-host in the last season Hussain Kuwajeriwala too may not feature in the coming season. Despite repeated attempts, Hussain remained unavailable for comment. Well, all we can say that is Mini’s absence is indeed a major loss for Indian Idol.
