A page from the personal diary of Varun Kapoor
Hello everyone, this is Varun Kapoor aka Kabir of Channel [V]'s Humse Hai Liife. I am here to share something about myself. Born and brought up in Ahmedabad, I am a B.E graduate in Electronics and Telecommunication from Pune.
I am a very eccentric person who prefers living in his own shell; I don’t like to socialize much as usually people in this industry do. I don’t even like to go for parties and rather prefer staying home in the womb of my comfort zone.
When I was in school, I used to attend a small summer camp course of acting. As a matter of fact, I have done two Gujarati films as a child artiste, but later I had to quit because my priority was education. I was too young to realize that in what and which industry I would get involved professionally.
Getting an offer for male lead in Chhanchhan was something which I was willing to do but I had no idea what the production house was thinking of doing. I would always say this even if Shah Rukh Khan was in the lead that I could play the role better than him provided that it was offered to me; I think that’s normal and human tendency. But while comparing, I will not be able to say that a particular person is better than me.
Right now, I am in a happy state of mind because recently on 24th January, I got married to Dhanya Mohan, the love of my life. We were already dating each other since the last so many years but work was not able to give us time to decide the day of our marriage.
Life after marriage has turned wonderful with lot of changes happening around. There is always somebody to share your problem with and no matter what, if there are no ears to listen to you after marriage, there is always someone to hear what you have to say. My wife is like my backbone.
I would love to try my hand at doing comic roles because comedy is lighter to perform. I am really not interested in reality shows because they are not my type; I love to watch them but don’t prefer seeing myself there.
Bollywood is something I have not thought of so far, but if I get an opportunity, I would embrace it with open hands. My wish is to work with senior actors of Bollywood because the knowledge which I will get from them will be like precious stones for me in order to grow myself more in terms of acting.
From my first day of shoot till today, one thing I have learnt and will remain with me forever is never criticize anybody, whoever the person is and never look into their negative aspects but see their positive sides.
Huh! I think this is enough. So guys, this is me Varun Kapoor taking your leave for now. Will meet up soon with some more interesting stuff.
