My working in a film will be a straight answer to my critics: Digangana Suryavanshi

Digangana Suryavanshi
Digangana Suryavanshi, who was in news for all the wrong reasons regarding her exit from the hit Zee TV show Qubool Hai (4 Lions Films) is back with a film opposite Purab Kohli. When we called up this 16-year old actress, she confirmed the same, but refused to give out any further details saying, “Let the producers make the announcement!” Digangana feels that her shift to the big screen will be a straight answer to her critics who had lambasted her for her so called non-professional behaviour on the sets of the above mentioned show. “I had read all those reports which claimed that I had been fired. The only reason why I did not reply then was that my class 10 boards were going on and my parents wanted me to only concentrate on my studies. After the exams, I was more bothered about my results as I had not studied enough. Surprisingly I managed to get 76%,” she claimed. “Through your website I wish to clear the air that during my exams, I asked the production house and Executive Producer (EP) to let me off so that I could study. For them I had already skipped my pre- boards and this was the least I expected of them, but sadly they were not ready. If you work with a minor you need to consider all these things,” Digangana pointed out. “Despite all this, I was at work. Things were at the worst a day before my Algebra exams. My co-star Rishabh Sinha kept talking on his cell phone, much to the chagrin of others. I requested him to cut the call so that we could concentrate on our scenes. Without appreciating my point, he started abusing me. Being a self respecting girl, I asked him to apologize, which he just refused to,” she added. She further went on to say, “This is when I took a decision to quit the show. Exactly at that time, news started floating around that I had been taken off from the show. I refused to comment then, as mentioned above, due to my pre-occupation with my studies.” “If Rishabh was in the right, why was he also asked to go later? Since he was playing the lead, I suppose they (production people) had supported him. This is how TV works and I have no qualms whatsoever,” Digangana quipped. In the hindsight, the young actress regards her stint in Qubool Hai as a learning curve. “You do come across unfortunate moments in life but they teach you a lot,” she concluded. We wish you all the best for the movie, Digangana.
