Versatile actress Narayani Shastri seems to be on a roll!!

After working on a pilot for Fremantle Media’s fiction concept for Star Network (either to be launched on Star Plus or Life OK), the actress has now gone on to bag a very challenging role in Life OK’s upcoming show, Rangrezz.

Well, she will don an extremely powerful avatar, and will go ‘negative’ for it, is what we hear.

After the heart-warming launch and opening of their newly-launched show Gangaa on & TV, Sphereorigins has now started work on their unique concept for Life OK. Initially, the show was supposed to be the adaptation of the popular novel A Thousand Splendid Suns. However, after quite a lot of modifications in the script, the makers have now started working on the cast.

As we know, the leads Hasan Zaidi and Barkha Bisht are no more part of the show owing to the changes made in the script. As of now, the hunt for the lead faces are on.

And as per reliable sources, “Narayani has been roped in to play the mother of the male lead guy. The character is touted to be the next ‘big’ vamp on Indian TV, in terms of the popularity and mightiness of the role.”

When contacted, Narayani said, “I will not want to talk about anything till I sign my contract papers.”

As for now, the channel and maker had zeroed in on Vishal Karwal to play the male lead on the show. However, there have been some changes, post which they are again on the lookout.

Coming back to Narayani, she has donned powerful roles so far in the shows Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Koi Apna Sa, Kkusum, Piya Ka Ghar, Mamta, Phir Subah Hogi.
