Recently, media reported about a sex racket bust wherein Mumbai Police’s Social Service Branch (SSB) broke a high-profile running prostitution racket in Mumbai and saved a struggling actress along with two models. The raid took place at Patliputra Society, Andheri, Mumbai. Now, it was written that one of the girls have acted in SAB TV’s super popular show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma. Today, the production house (Neela Telfilms) of the show sent a clarification stating that no arrested girl has ever worked in the show. The press release read: “The public in general and the people of the trade in particular are hereby informed that no person arrested in the raid conducted at Patliputra Society in Andheri, Mumbai for ‘high-profile prostitution racket’, has given any performance in the television serial ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’. This statement has been issued on the basis of detailed investigation carried out pursuant to reports in certain sections of the press that an aspiring actress, rescued from prostitution racket, had acted in the said serial.” After a lot of probing and prodding, our sources revealed that the girl in question goes by Quereshi surname.
