Gulshan, a Delhite, is a model by profession. He has also been part of theatre in Delhi. The young lad stepped into the City of Dreams, Mumbai in pursuit of an acting career. And this happens to be his first stint before the camera. In this story of Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Gulshan will play the lover of Shruti, essayed by Ruchi Savarn. Arshad, the Muslim character he will play, will be in love with Shruti, the Hindu girl. Since religion will be a main obstacle in their union, the duo would run away from their families to get married and start life afresh. But destiny would have something else in store. And when they would be fleeing, they will get stuck amidst a major outbreak of floods and will be washed away in it. Though the girl would be saved, Arshad would lose his life.
