Big Magic’s extremely popular show Hazir Jawab Birbal, produced by Triangle Films has recently started with a new season wherein actors Saurabh Raaj Jain and Gaurav Khanna have been brought in to play the central roles of Akbar and Birbal respectively.

Well, we now have exclusive news on the girl to be romancing not one, but both the heroes on the show…

Newbie from Guwahati, Assam, Rimpi Das, a new find in the television industry has been roped in to play the lead character of Noor Jahan in Akbar Birbal.

As per sources, “Noor Jahan will be a relative of Maham Anga (Shoma Anand), and she will bring her to Akbar’s court in order to displace Birbal with her talent and wit. Noor Jahan will not only be beautiful, but will be a very learned girl, with a strong intellect. However, soon Maham Anga’s dreams of throwing out Birbal will take a beating as Birbal will fall for Noor. But given the desires of Noor, she will aspire to become the Queen one day, and will start wooing Akbar instead.”

We hear that this will bring to light a very enjoyable comic situation wherein Noor will be after Akbar, with Birbal trying to impress Noor.

Coming back to Rimpi, the aspiring actor came to Mumbai only in the month of April this year. And for her to bag this lead role in such a short span of time has been remarkable.

Confirming the news, Rimpi told Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, I am excited to have bagged my first role on TV. I am a girl from the North East, and I am presently working hard on my Hindi diction. That is the reason why I have made it compulsory to speak to everyone in Hindi (smiles). I have to thank the creative team and casting team of Akbar Birbal, and everyone in Triangle Films for giving me this huge responsibility. All on the sets have been so warm and supportive. I hope I give my best.”

Rimpi has started shoot from yesterday (1 September).
