KOLKATA: Here we bring an update for the loyal viewers of Aakash Aath’s one month series, Ek Masher Sahitya.

The series that will be aired this month is based on eminent Bengali author Samaresh Basu’s Rupayan.

The story will narrate the journey of Nira who loses her sister and then her father. Her sister commits suicide because she was pregnant and the father was none other than Nira’s lover, Dipak. Unable to take the pain of losing his daughter, Nira’s father Madhusudan Babu leaves this world after some days. He dies due to heart attack. Life goes on. One fine day suddenly Bijit reenters Nira’s life.

Who is Bijit? Well, hailing from an economically poor family, Bijit was a brilliant student to whom Madhusudan Babu gave shelter at his home and raised as his own son. So, what is his purpose of entering Nira's life again? To know more you have to keep your eyes on the tale.

Payel Chakraborty will be seen as Nira, Debasree Bhattcharya as Mira, Subhrajit Dutta as Dipak while Ritajit Chatterjee will be seen as Bijit.

Veteran actor Dulal Lahiri essays the character of Madhusudan Babu.

Directed by Sudipta Ghatak, the series will start from today (1 June) and will be aired every Monday to Friday at 7 pm.
