Nikhil Arya is back with a bang

Making a comeback to dailies with Balaji Telefilms’ Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai on Sony Pal, Nikhil Arya is quite excited. Having been part of more than six Balaji shows in his career, the actor is confident that this new association is going to be a great one.

“I am super excited to be a part of this show. The story as you all know is based in Bihar, and I play a grey shaded rugged character who is not totally negative but has layers to his character. He is a wealthy guy whose family deals with coal mining. He doesn’t value money and just to showcase his power, he has the ‘Dr’ title prefixed to his name (laughs).”

So what made him choose back to back negative characters on different shows, “I think negative characters help actors stand out and also give a chance to perform. And I have not just done negative roles but a lot many positive ones too. It’s just that people remember the dark ones, which answers your question completely (smiles).”

Talking about his preparation for the role, Nikhil informs, “Since it is a TV show there would not be much of an accent, but a slight linguistic touch. I took references from some characters and I am all ready to roar.”

When asked what kept him away from shows, the actor shares, “Genuinely I wasn’t completely away as I was doing some episodics and cameos here and there. My dad was unwell and being the only son, I had to take care of my family business in Pune. With all of it sorted now, I am back to my first love and passion, which is acting.”

Welcome back Nikhil and hope you have a great time with the show!
