AMPTPP (Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers), the body that has been taking care of the issues related to TV and film producers is in for a revamp. Yes, the members of this council are looking at a name change at the moment to make it easier for people to remember and relate with it (and also to pronounce). So, what has it been rechristened as? Well, after a lot of exhausting discussion sessions the team has decided to change the name of AMPTPP to Indian Film and TV Producers Council (IFTPC). Currently the team is working on the paper work that involves in the process of changing the name. Post which they will be renaming their site as the same. This process should take a month. We contacted Yog Raj, Assistant Secretary AMPTPP but he refused to comment on it.
