MUMBAI: Erica Fernandes is a wonder woman!

Actors who make a strong presence in one show often find it difficult to convince the audience to accept them in a new character. The actress has received immense adoration and has been the best thing that has happened to the entertainment fraternity since sliced bread!

Breaking out of her character of Sonakshi in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke, a strong and independent woman who called spade a spade, we see Erica playing Prerna in Kasautii Zindagii Kii as a girl who can succumb if pressured.

In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Erica shared her experience enacting Prerna and working with her co-star Parth Samthaan under the Balaji Telefilms banner.

Erica said, ‘Prerna is a strong individual, but there are times when she cannot do things because of a reason and has to sacrifice things for her family under pressure. But when it comes to taking a strong stand, she does so too. It doesn’t mean that she will let anybody take her for granted, and that is the beauty of playing Prerna. I am glad to be working with Ekta Kapoor on this show, as she is very supportive and knows exactly what she wants. She briefed in a way that helped us get into the skin of the character.’

When asked about her rapport with Parth, Erica politely added, ‘Parth is a good co-star. We not only put our best when it comes to doing our bit but Parth and I also give inputs to beautify and enhance the quality of the sequence we are performing. It is a mutual effort, as in the end, we want to bring out the best of our performances. It’s a good rapport between the two of us.’
