Life OK’s supernatural mytho thriller Mahakumbh is doing fairly well with the audience which is quite evident in its raising TRP numbers.

With the show getting an extension for two months, definitely the cast and crew are jubilant. But one actor who is keeping an eye on new projects even after the latest success is Payal Rajput, who essays the role of Maya in the show.

As we spoke to her, she opened up and mentioned, “Currently I am looking forward to other projects, as I am not much happy with the character development of Maya. I am hardly shooting these days; so I have decided to take up some new shows. But that does not mean that I am quitting Mahakumbh. I will never do that as the show and the crew members are so special to me. I am just looking out for other options.”

So have you spoken with the director yet? And the lady quipped, “Yes, I had a word with Arvind ji (Babbal) about my character development, but he made me understand that the storyline will be developed as per the ongoing tracks. Hence, I am keen on stepping into some new ventures.”

We quizzed the actress about the moderate success of the show and she mentioned, “Unfortunately the show could not be as successful as it was expected to be, but we cannot do anything about the TRP ratings. The entire team has given their best and now it’s up to the audience. But, I am really excited with the increasing numbers in the chart.”

So any wish you have? “Well all the actors in the crew are simply brilliant and I had the chance of working with most of them. Unfortunately I never had much chance to work with Rahill (Dansh). Considering his acting prowess I would love to work with him, especially since I have already shot with Arvind ji and Gautam (Rudra).”
