Raj Singh is pretty excited about the new role that he has bagged on TV!! From his childhood, the young lad has been very much impressed seeing the army officers struggle to save the pride of our Nation.

And now, he will get to don the role of an army officer himself for Doordarshan’s upcoming show, Ek Lakshya to be produced by Shri Satya Sai Telefilms.

Ek Lakshya will depict the tale of three girls and their aspiration to become army officers. This show will urge and inspire the young girls of today to take up the duties of serving the nation by becoming capable and dutiful army officers.

Raj will play the role of the company commandant, Rajdeep Singh who will be given the task of managing the entire training process.

Says Raj, “I am very much excited for this project, as playing an army man is a matter of pride in its own. Above all, it is on Doordarshan where years back, a show called Fauji made Mr. Shah Rukh Khan a superstar and a household name. I believe that history will repeat again and luck will favour me this time (wink).”

Ek Lakshya will launch on 27 April, at the 2.30 pm slot, with the curtain raiser being telecast on 24 April.

Raj was last seen in Sony TV’s Tum Aise Hi Rehna.
