The tale of Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt Ltd) on Star Plus has been the talk of town with its high dose of twists and turns. In tonight’s (26 June, 2013)’s episode, Suraj (Anas Rashid) will keep the third and the last matka as a guarantee to Sandhya’s (Deepika Singh) dreams as demanded by Bhabho (Neelu Waghela). Soon after that, the latter will declare that if Sandhya is not successful in the quiz, she will break the matka and mark the end to her career aspirations. When we spoke to Neelu about this, she laughingly replied, “The matka has become so important in the track that wherever I go, people ask me as to when I would break it. Well, it is not happening any soon; or else the drama will be gone. All I can say is that people will need to wait and watch.” Also as a source informs, Emily (Pooja Singh), the youngest bahu of the house, who had also been Sandhya’s classmate in the night school, will also get interested in participating in the quiz and compete along with Sandhya. Averred Pooja Singh who plays Emily, “The rebuking her husband Mohit (Varunn Jain) gets from the family has made her (Emily) decide to take part in the competition as she feels that with her taking part and winning the quiz, she will get her husband some respect.” Also Emily feels that by winning the prize money of Rs 50,000 that has been offered in the quiz show, they will make up for the money they lost by way of chit fund.
