&TV is the new baby from the Zee Network which has roped in Shah Rukh Khan as its face.

The channel had an official press launch a couple of days back (21 January 2015) which saw a huge media turnout.

Now, SRK’s presence always makes the media community a bit tad too excited given his smart repartees and innate conversational charm.

Although this event was mostly a smooth run, it saw a small hiccup with the emcee for the evening, named Avneet Kohli, got into a verbal argument with some of the press photographers.

An eye witness recounts: “After the official Q&A sessions with the media, people started clicking selfies with SRK, barring the photographers from getting a good shot. They yelled and told everyone to clear the stage and this is when the emcee said ‘khushi ka mahol hain, jagda, gali galoj na kare’.”

The sentence apparently miffed the shutterbug community and they complained of never abusing anyone.

Not being able to get good shots, the photographers kept complaining to the PR officials and this is when emcee Avneet decided to barge in to have a word with the lensmen. The discussion snow balled into an argument and later photographers were heard raising their voices in protest. Finally, they decided to walk out only to calm down later.

The source further adds: “Avneet too left the scene in a huff. Both the parties were pretty upset but thankfully the issue died down and did not escalate into a major problem.”

&TV is set to hit screens from 2 March 2015. The channel will have a game show hosted by SRK called India Poochega: Sabse Shaana Kaun, which will air at 9 pm from Monday to Friday.
