Once bitten twice shy- this might be Rafi Malik’s reaction if he ever comes across an offer from Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

The dashing actor who was signed in to play a pivotal role in the Directors’ Kut series has been replaced...once again.

Initially, Rafi was signed opposite Kanchi Singh (Gayu) but owing to some personal crisis, the actor had to step out. Fahad Ali was roped in as his replacement.

And now, with the new track ready to shoot off, makers have been getting in poplar faces as Karthik’s (Mohsin Khan) family. Rafi, was summoned to play a strong character of Karthik’s elder brother for the same.

But once again, things have not worked out and Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein actor Mukul Harish has joined the team to play the role.

Shared a source, “Rafi was almost finalised but due to some issues cropping up between the production and actor, Mukul was signed in the last minute. The actor has already started shoot.”

As reported by Tellychakkar.com, the character of Karthik’s brother will be jealous of him as he would have had let go his dreams for Karthik. There will be an underlying tension between them throughout the series.
