Shahab Khan and Neetu Pandey roped in for Colors' Balika Vadhu

Senior actor Shahab Khan, remembered for playing father to Pratigya in the cult show has been roped in for Colors' Balika Vadhu - Lamhe Pyaar Ke (Sphereorigins).

The actor will get back to Colors after his stint in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi.

As per sources, "He has been roped in to play the foster father of the protagonist, Nandini (Mahhi Vij). He will be a very protective father to his two daughters Nandini and Sudha (Yukti); however he would believe in educating his daughters well so that they would be independent."

Joining him will be noted actress Neetu Pandey who has worked in movies Shor Gul opposite Ashutosh Rana and Farhan Akhtar's Three Stories. On TV, she has been part of Sahara One's Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai and Jamai Raja.

Her character would again be of a doting mother who would love her adopted daughter Nandini more than her real daughter Sudha.

When contacted, Shahab confirmed the news but did not want to get into details.

We got a confirmation from Neetu too.
