Folks... news of Swastik Pictures’ show on Star Plus, Navya, going off air has already hit the media. It will entertain the masses for the last time on 29 June (2012). Producer of the show, Siddharth Tewary has also confirmed the buzz. Navya became super popular amongst TV lovers, all thanks to the sizzling chemistry between Anant (Shaheer Sheikh) and Navya (Soumya Seth). What started as a college love story snowballed into marriage and later a saas bahu drama, which was loved by everyone. However, TRPs sang a different note and the soap’s number wore a dwindling look. It was about to go off air in April but later got an extension till June (2012). But the axe has finally come down on the serial as the channel has decided not to extend the contract any further. We, at Tellychakkar.com, decided to have a word or two with Shaheer and find out about his thoughts and emotions at this point of time. “I should feel sad but know what…I am happy. I am happy for the love and appreciation the show has received. I want to thank all my fans. Navya had to end someday and it is ending on a positive and logical note. I had a great time working with everyone on the show. It has been a great learning experience.” He further shared, “I don’t have any brother in real life but yes now I have found Rohit (Bhardwaj aka Mohan Bajpai). I have been with him for more than one and a half years and we have gelled really well.” And what about Soumya? “I will miss her for sure. I did talk to her after the news reached us. Soumya is in Benaras currently. She was also happy with all the effort we have put in. Overall we both are content with the work we have down. I will miss everyone and everything about Navya. I have been shooting continuously for the last two years and we became a family. I was living the character of Anant. It was a beautiful journey. I will try to stay in touch with everyone when the show ends.” Finally, he said that he will go home (Jammu) for a month or two to chill out and then come back to ponder on future possibilities. Shaheer, we all are you going to miss and of course, your show Navya!!!
