Shaheer Sheikh's both "kicked" and "nervous" about his new look in Teri Meri Love...

Shaheer Sheikh
We know it’s been a long, disappointing and dreary road without some Shaheer Sheikh action on the tube. Well…it’s time to rejoice now as this handsome lad who gained popularity as Anant in Star Plus’ Navya…is all set to charm his fans in Saturday’s (15 September 2012) telefilm of Teri Meri Love Stories (Star Plus). He will be seen romancing Mahhi Vij. The project is being produced by Venita Coelhos Ekdant and Cinevistaas. And guess what? He will be seen donning a new look for this role. Shared an excited Shaheer with Tellychakkar.com, “This is my first telefilm and I am waiting for it to go on-air this Saturday.” Talking about his looks, he said, “The intention was to make Nityanand (his character name) look like that. He is not a very good looking guy. In fact, he is a complete nerd.” So did he contribute in the styling of his appearance? “My stylist had to work on it. Initially we even tried a champu look with a moustache but it did not suit me. So we finally zeroed on short hair and formal clothes.” Moving on…will there be some awesome romantic moments between him and Mahhi? “In more than half of the episode, we won’t have any chemistry. Things will change in the later half. Mahhi is a very good actress and she understands her scenes very well. In fact, we used to discuss our scenes before shooting which worked in our favour.” Are you two friends off-screen now? “We were together for only 10 days while shooting in Macau. We kept busy and had no time to converse much. Apart from her, I also had a nice time with two other actors, namely Saurabh and Amit.” Okay…on having any difficulty in portraying Nityanand, Shaheer stated, “For the first few days I couldn’t perform the way what my character demanded from me as in real life I am not at all like Nityanand. But yes, I did get the hang of the character in two day’s time from where I took off.” Have you got any feedbacks on your look? “Yes, after the promos went on-air my mother called me to say that I looked different. Since she did not call it bad I am pretty pleased (smile).” Lastly he added, “I am a little nervous about my new look as though I like it, I am not hundred percent sure what will be the audience reaction. Whatever be it…I am waiting for the telefilm to hit the screens.” So are all your fans…Shaheer…you will rock for sure!!!
