Sharad Malhotra and Divyanka Tripathi mesmerized the audience with their magical on screen chemistry years back in Zee TV’s popular show Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. Tellychakkar.com had earlier today reported about Ankit Mohan being part of a short film titled ‘A Divorce to Remember’ being made for the film festivals. The news that has come to us just now is that Sharad and Divyanka are also part of the project. While Sharad, who essays the role of Zaid, plays the sacrificing lover who can do anything for the girl he loves, Divyanka is the pretty Zara who is very much in love with Nadir, played by Ankit Mohan. The concept of the short film will educate masses about the Muslim law that will allow a divorced couple to get together only after the girl marries another guy and divorces him. The story goes something like this – Zara loves Nadir unconditionally, and they go on to marry. Later they have a marital split due to certain rifts and seek divorce. While all this happens, there is the other guy Zaid who has always been in love with Zara. Post divorce, Zara realizes that she wants to get back to Nadir. Unfortunately, the Muslim law does not allow for this, and she seeks the help of Zaid to marry her, only to divorce her so that she can unite with Nadir. Touching, isn’t it? Well, we contacted Divyanka Tripathi who expressed her happiness over working with Sharad again by saying, “Yes, I had some free time as we were on a break from shooting for Custody. It is a pleasure working with Sharad again. The concept of the short film is very touchy, wherein we need to talk more through our expressions.” The short film as described by Producer Chandni Sahu is “a one night’s incident”. “I wanted to bring Sharad and Divyanka together yet again, after seeing their chemistry in their TV show. And for Ankit Mohan, he fits the role of Nadir perfectly.” The short film is being jointly produced by Chandni Sahu, Gauri Dubey and Ateet. The story is written by Chandni’s brother, Surya Sahu. Earlier there have been media reports about Sharad being in a relationship with Divyanka.
