Being tall can always add to your personality especially when you are an actor, but when it’s a little too much, you are bound to get some unwanted attention too. We are talking about the beautiful Shireen Mirza who is currently seen in Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (Balaji Telefilms). She will make an appearance in Epic Channel’s Dharamkshetra, as reported by us. The girl stands at 5’11 and from what we hear, she has a hard time managing it with her co-stars and her height dilemma is quite an old one. “For all my life I had to face the situation where I was left embarrassed by my height. You won’t believe when I was in the second standard and only around 10 years, I was 5’5 and I used to feel so uncomfortable with all the kids who looked so tiny in front of me. I used to wail feeling left out of the group and it was really a sad time for me,” shared the girl. Shireen further said, “My mom tells me that I won’t get a good guy for marriage as not many guys are this tall. My friends also tease me for the same, but I can’t help it. I am a very positive person and believe that one should accept themselves as they are and I am happy with how God has made me. It’s in my genes as my brother who is just 20 is also 6’3 (laughs).” Talking about the fun moments on set with her height she said, “Raj (Singh Arora) always complains that he doesn’t want to shoot with me as he looks short. But overall, although everyone teases me we manage the shoot using platforms. The funniest jodi I guess is me with my on screen mom (Shehnaz Rizwan) since she is quite short in height.” Finally when we asked her which tall actor she would like to be paired up with, she immediately quipped, “It would be Akshay Kumar and Randeep Hooda any day (winks).” That’s quite a ‘tall’ wish Shireen (wink)!
