Shivangi Joshi CLARIFIES about rumours of linkup with co-actor Mohsin Khan

Shivangi Joshi, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s Naira is pretty livid over the recent rumours linking her with co-actor Mohsin Khan, and about them having a gala affair in the vanity van, hiding from her mother Mrs. Joshi’s strict vigilance over them.

The actress is extremely unhappy about her name and her family’s image taking a beating, courtesy media.

Says Shivangi, “It’s disgraceful how people misuse the power of media. Trying to spoil a girl’s name and her family’s image is a shame. Calling family members’ names is an act of indecency.”

Shivangi clarifies and explains from where the rumours have stemmed. “This has gone so far because we never replied to the first news that came out a couple of months back back about our linkup. But our silence has been taken as our weakness and is being exploited now. A particular news channel reported about confirmed news of our dating. When we contacted them, they came on set and apologized. They accepted their fault and agreed on putting up an apology, which they never did. Since then, we had not given our interviews to them, as we were awaiting their apology. Just because we refused to give them bytes, they have to stoop down to this level.”

“In their anger and revengeful attitude, they have forgotten basic manners. They have forgotten how much they hurt people and their families by pointing fingers and stating vulgar remarks. The people who put up such news have families of their own and it’s a shame that this is the way they write about people’s families,” explains the actress.

Shivangi also talks about the equation that Mohsin shares with her mother. “See the picture that I have shared where we three are there. We share a great bond. Shooting in Rishikesh, close to my house, my mother always took care of Mohsin like a son. We work very hard to make sure we stand up to the audiences’ expectations. All this news has hurt us obviously but we will get over it and we will continue to work harder everyday. We will stand by our values taught by our families. We will never stoop to their level. May Lord forgive them for inducing so much pain to us, and give them wisdom.”

Shivangi, we truly understand your sentiments!!
