Zee &, the upcoming channel to be launched in the first quarter of the year 2015 has an interesting bouquet of shows lined up as its launch pad. However, the one show that carries with it the huge responsibility of being the channel’s major flagship show happens to be the historical show, titled Razia Sultan, produced by Swastik Pictures. 

Now do you want to know the lucky girl who has almost bagged the title role of Razia Sultan? 

Well, it is none other than Shivani Surve. 

Yes, you heard it right!! The actress is actually a find of the same makers, having worked with them earlier in the shows Navya and Phulwa. In Navya, Shivani played sister to the male lead, and in Phulwa, she was the sister of the female lead. 

A reliable source states, “Shivani’s name has been kept under wraps. She is almost finalized to play the role of Razia. But considering the huge stature of the project, there still lies a thin line of ambiguity between the girl doing the show and not doing it. Having said this, she is presently undergoing rigorous training for the lead role in the prestigious project. Starting from language classes to diction tuning, horse-riding to various other skills, the girl has been learning everything to fit the character.”

As we know, Rohit Purohit has been roped in to play the male protagonist Altunia. 

We tried calling Shivani, but she remained unavailable for comment. We dropped a message to Producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary, but he too chose not to respond to our calls. 

We could not get a confirmation from the channel too at the time of filing the story. 

Shivani has also been seen in shows like Devyani, Anamika and the Marathi show Sundar Majhe Ghar.
