The team of Star Plus’ popular show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is on a celebration high today!

In a time when shows hardly last for hundred episodes, the Director’s Kut creation has completed six glorious years.

YRKKH that launched back in 2009, depicted the tale of a young couple who got together through an arranged alliance and how love overpowered them. The show stands out for its meaty and differentiating content.  

Rajan Shahi, who launched Hina Khan and Karan Mehra in the show,  must be a proud man seeing the two emerge as two of the best actors in the TV industry today.  

The show also stars talented actors Sanjeev Seth, Lata Sabharwal, Abhijit Lahiri, Sandeep Mehta, Yash Gera, Pooja Joshi, Shivansh Kotia among many more.

In the six years journey, the show has seen its share of ups and downs in terms of TRPs and also off screen controversies. From actors quitting over creative differences to too many conceptual leaps, things have hit a wrong note at times. There have also been reports about Hina and Karan sharing cold vibes, but good work overpowered all glitches and the show continued to do well.

Six years is surely not a short time for a TV show and we acknowledge and salute the team’s efforts to bring out the best for their viewers time and again.
