Small screen set for big celebration this Diwali
Are you planning to skip Diwali celebration and stay indoors? If that’s so, let us tell you that our TV serials won’t let your festive spirit down. Channels like Star Plus, Zee TV, Colors, Life OK, SAB TV, Sony and Sahara One are here to celebrate the festival with you. The celebration has already begun on the small screen with SAB TV airing SAB Ka Diwali Mela and Colors’ Uttaran airing its Diwali special dramatic sequence where their store house catches fire with the leads of the show Meethi and Mukta getting stuck in it. Well this was just the tip of the Diwali celebration iceberg. Let’s have a look at the rest. Star Plus’ Veera will show the kids celebrating Diwali. The makers have decided to club in a safety measure message while bursting crackers for kids in their special episodes. The numero uno show Diya Aur Baati Hum will witness the happy reunion of the daughter-in-law Sandhya with her mother-in-law Bhabho. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Saath Nibhaana Saathiya too will celebrate the festival and in Saathiya, Gopi’s sister Radhika’s love story will be showcased. The channel has also chalked out a special program called STAR Diwali Thodi Si Muskan Dher Sara Pyar. Here the leads of the channel will be seen performing on Bollywood numbers. Zee TV will air Diwali Dhamaka, an event that will have a mix of Ram leela and dance performances. Colors’ Sanskaar and Balika Vadhu will observe the festival of lights wherein in Sanskaar, Jay and Dhara will come together during the festival. In Balika Vadhu, the families will celebrate the coming together of the couples Anandi-Shiv and Jagya-Ganga. Inmates of Bigg Boss too will be seen bursting crackers and lighting diyaas. SAB TV’s FIR will see Chandramukhi Chautala, Billu and Gopi wishing each other on the festival while Indumati and Mukhandi will light their house with diyaas in Lapataganj. In Ek Boond Ishq on Life OK, Tara will celebrate her first Diwali, post her wedding, while in Gustakh Dil, family members will be seen bursting crackers oblivious of the fact that Nikhil has met with an accident. Almost all the shows of Sony Entertainment Television will be in the festive mode. To start with first Jee Le Zara will see confession of love between Sacchi and Dhruv during the festival. In Maharana Pratap, the villagers will be seen lighting the diyaas for Pratap. Amita Ka Amit, Bade Acche Lagte Hai, Desh Ki Beti Nandani, KBC and Comedy Circus too will celebrate the festival. Lastly, Sahara One’s Niyati will be seen airing a special Diwali sequence where dancer Tanisha Singh, who’s a known face from Tamil and Telugu films will be seen dancing to the tunes of Madhushri who has crooned a song scored by A R Rahman in the past.
