MUMBAI: Everyone who works hard in any profession wants to be known for their work.

They want to be known for their acting skills, but invariably, equal weightage is given to the glam factor. Looking glamorous and being a good dancer is a part and parcel of being in the entertainment fraternity.

However, there is one actress who defies this at many levels.

We are talking about Sriti Jha, who is currently seen in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya.

Sriti made her debut playing Malini Sharma in Dhoom Machaao Dhoom. She has also participated in the dance show Nachle Ve With Saroj Khan. She rose to fame with Jyoti on NDTV Imagine in which she played Sudha Sharma, a split personality patient. Since 2014, Sriti is seen as Pragya Mehra in Kumkum Bhagya opposite Shabir Ahluwalia.

Sriti has been seen clad in sarees and has flaunted ethnic wear in most of her roles on television. Playing Pragya she has defined her character very well as the docile bahu and as a woman who can go to any extent to save her relationship and her loved ones.

As an actress, she proves that it is not necessary for one to be all dolled up to project characters strongly or vividly.
