Star Plus and Endemol to bring 'Grey's Anatomy' to Indian TV; Mishal Raheja and Himmanshoo likely to be roped in

Mishal Raheja and Himmanshoo Malhotra
Colors along with the versatile actor and producer Anil Kapoor has done a swell job by bringing the international series 24 to India. And now, there is a buzz that Star Plus is working secretively on a bi-weekly show which is again based on a very popular international series. And this time around, Grey’s Anatomy, the American television medical drama will be brought to India. Yes, you heard it right!!! Endemol India we hear, is working on an Indian version of Grey’s Anatomy. The shoot for the series will take place in Delhi and it will be a 52 episodes series. A reliable source gave us exclusive information that Star Plus intends to bolster their weekend programming with the desi version of Grey’s Anatomy. And if sources are to be believed, Mishal Raheja, who was last seen in Colors’ Laagi Tujhse Lagan, is slated to make his comeback on TV with this big-ticket show. Also, Himmanshoo Malhotra, last seen in Sony TV’s Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage, looks likely to be roped in to play a central part. We tried calling both Himmanshoo and Mishal, but could not get through to them. Our efforts to reach out to the spokesperson of Endemol India were also in vain. We dropped a text message to Gaurav Banerjee from Star India, but did not get any revert till the time of filing the story. Watch this space for more exclusive updates.
