Sumeet out of Khwaish

Sumeet Sachdev is no longer a part of Sony's Khwaish. Although the actor entered the show as a lead with lot of expectations, his role seems to have lost its sheen and now he's completely out of the picture. Initially, he was shooting for 25 days a month for this Urdu social. Later, he started shooting for 15 days and gradually he completely stopped shooting for the show. In its typical Balaji style, last week Kabir's character was bumped off; as his car meets with an accident.

In its typical Balaji style, last week Kabir's character was bumped off; as his car meets with an accident. Sumeet, best-known as Gomzy of Kyunki… is famous for portraying positive characters on screen. But somewhere something went wrong and his character didn't shape up the way he had expected. Sumeet seems unperturbed with the development, "I've not been sacked from the show and it was Ekta's decision to get a new twist in the tale. However, later Ekta wanted me to continue but somehow things didn't work out." Apparently, another reason for Sumeet's exit is his producing a film and making a grand entry in Karam Apnaa Apnaa. "I'm not in a position to comment on this. The only thing I can say is that I stopped shooting for Khwaish before starting the shoot for Karam…" Ipshita Deb, executive producer of the show, says, "We're planning to introduce some new characters but haven't roped in anyone. Now, the track unfolds when the leading lady Afreen gets married to Kabir's (Sumeet) younger brother Salman." So, any chances of his coming back? "It's Ekta's call and I'll love to resume the show whenever she wants," quips Sumeet.
