MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television’s show Super Dancer Chapter 3 has seen a lot of brilliant performances and the talent on the show is phenomenal. The show is very popular and caters to a global audience and fans of the show have connected very well with the contestants. Akshit Bhandari, 11 year old contestant from Dehradhun who’s a very talented performer but his journey has been one full of hurdles due to financial troubles.

His father is an auto rickshaw driver by profession and he had to sell the battery of his vehicle in order to travel to the audition of Super Dancer in Mumbai. This story led to a secret angel donating a brand new autorickshaw to Akshit’s father for his selfless sacrifice towards his son. Its rightly said that hard work pays off and now Akshit along with his family’s hard work and dedication is being recognized. The stage gave another surprise to the Bhandari family when another angel named Sameer Surani expressed his desire to sponsor Akshit’s education after hearing his story.  

Sameer Surani stated, “I work in a production company in London. One day I was watching TV with my family and after sometime of channel surfing we started watching Super Dancer. That was the time I saw Akshit perform and I was blown over. Later on I discovered about his family’s financial background and this made me proud of Indians who support their children’s dreams even after going through so many problems. I would like to say that I would be more than happy to sponsor Akshit’s academic and dance education, going forward till whenever he would like to pursue it.”

This gesture proves that not all hope is lost for humanity and shows like Super Dancer help bring out such stories to the forefront.
