Life OK’s popular show Savdhan India will air a Republic Day Special episode which will have a patriotic fervour in its storyline. Senior actor Sushant Singh who has hosted Savdhan India will play the central role in the story. Playing his dutiful wife will be Rishina Kandhari, last seen in Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi on Zee TV. Sushant Singh needs no introduction as he has a great body of work, with experience in both the big screen as well as small screen. Known for his roles in movies Satya, Josh, Jungle, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Darna Mana Hai to name a few, Sushant has also essayed challenging roles on TV in shows Viruddh and Gulaal. The story of Savdhan India will revolve around the IAS officer, played by Sushant who is posted to a small village where there are quite a lot of naxal activities. The IAS officer will take a pledge to reform the village and make it better. He will also decide to hoist the national flag on the Republic Day in the village which is known for being the land of naxalites. In his struggle towards reformation, the man will get kidnapped by the naxalites. Later, it will be the journey of his wife (essayed by Rishina) to get him back. The lady will also decide to fulfil her husband’s wish of hoisting the flag in the village. When contacted, Rishina confirmed her presence in the Republic day special episode of Savdhan India saying, “Yes, it was a privilege to shoot with such a senior actor like Sushant Singh. He is an intense actor, and puts in so much to every scene. We had some really good sequences, and I was glad to pull them off. He was so humble and down to earth; he never gave me an impression that he has been around working for so many years. This is an interesting story of Savdhan India. A lot of patriotic fervour can be seen in the episode. Overall, it was an experience to remember.” We tried calling Sushant, but he remained unavailable for comments.
