The cult comedy show on SAB TV, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah by Neela Telefilms has achieved the enormous feat of completing six successful years yesterday (28 July). And to celebrate the occasion, Producer Asit Modi decided to seek the Lord’s blessings on the set. Hence, a Shravan puja for Lord Shiv was organized on the set with the cast and crew present to worship the Lord. And this was actually incorporated in the sequence too, wherein the residents of Gokuldham Society were seen seeking blessings. We hear that the ambience on the set was so huge that the producer had called in nearly 10-12 pundits to chant mantras and perform the puja. The entire cast and crew of Taarak Mehta along with Producer Asit Modi were seen indulging in the maha aarti, maha abhishek. This sequence went on air last night (28 July), with the viewers too becoming part of the real puja that took place on the set. Talking about this, Producer Asit Modi said, “It is a great time for Taarak Mehta, as we completed six years. Also this being the Shravan month in the Hindu calendar, we thought of celebrating the completion of six years with a Maha Shiv Puja. I called the real pundits to perform the puja and it was a very nice moment. At the outset, I want to thank my audience for the lovely support. Of course, all the credit goes to my cast and crew for this huge success.” Dilip Joshi too expressed his joy saying, “The journey has been really good. But I still feel as though I am shooting for my sixth day on the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (laughs). I am really happy for this success.” Kudos to the entire team..
