Targeting only leads is unjustified: Ridhima on her ‘unprofessionalism’ rumours

Talented Ridhima Pandit is one of the new generation actresses in the small screen who has the courage to take a different route to success. Breaking the stereotype roles and its aftermaths, this actress has dared to be different, and has been playing her sci-fi role to the T.

Earlier in the day, Tellychakkar.com reported about Ridhima apparently being the reason for unrest on the sets of her Life OK show, Bahu Humari Rajni_kant (Full House Media) for not being punctual on sets, and taking her own time to get ready. Read here

Well, we got to speak to the actress at length later in the evening, and we are right here to give our loyal readers her version of the story.

Ridhima refutes the rumours and says, “See, I am an actress who works 29 days a month. My production house and I are in total sync. There are days when I might be late owing to unavoidable circumstances. I think even THE Amitabh Bachchan is allowed to sometime report late if he is stuck in traffic or has to go to the doctor. It is indeed a great thing that some on my set are never late but my late comings have never bothered the producers as I make it a point to inform them beforehand.”

“Honestly, I feel anyone, be it a technician or a spot can be late but the onus always falls on the lead actors. I frankly don’t like to get into justifications but I feel targeting only leads is unjustified,” she adds.

On claims of her taking long hours to dress up, Ridhima explains, “See, I need to get four changes in a day and all of it does take time. You cannot expect a female actress to get ready in 15 minutes. Every lady needs atleast 45 minutes to one hour to get ready. If someone has a problem with that, they will have to deal with it. This will be my work pattern and will never change. My producers are lovely people to work with, and I have no complaints with them. I am also 150 per cent sure that they too have no issues with me. If they did, they would have spoken to me directly.”

Answering our queries on who could be the one playing truant and spreading news of her unprofessionalism, the actress quips, “People are jealous of me and this is what they have resorted to put me down. It’s wrong to point fingers at one person. Can you define tantrums to me? My logic is that if I am taking time, there will be a reason for it. I don’t enjoy sitting in the set all day. I want to work and go back home. I get paid to work and that is what I will be doing.”

We got that Ridhima!!!
