Teachers' Day is a special day for the appreciation of teachers, and includes the celebration to honour them for their special contributions.

Bollywood choreographer Geeta Kapur is all gaga over her mentor Farah Khan. At the age of 16, Geeta joined Farah’s troupe and she shares a special bond with her Farah.

On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Geeta thanks her guru Farah through Tellychakkar.com. 

Talking about her guru Farah, Geeta shared, “Farah is my guru and will always be my guru. We share a relationship where she does not expect anything from me in return. But I do make it a point to always recognize the fact that she plays a major role in my life. I need to thank her. Other than Teacher’s Day, I also thank her every day. Whenever anything good happens in my life; I always call her and thank her. I don’t feel one should thank their gurus only on Teacher’s Day. If you love someone, you should thank them every day for making you who you are.”

When she was asked about the most special Teacher’s Day celebration, she averred, “2014's Teacher’s Day was special for me as I got in contact with my classical guru after many years. I had lost touch with her when I was just five years and after that I never met her. She was my classmate’s mother. I called her up and said ‘Happy Teacher’s Day’ and she said ‘Geeta’. I was like yes. She recognized me even after so many years and that was something surreal.”
