After Dara Singh’s demise this morning, Tellychakkar.com has been flooded with condolence messages by artistes from the television industry. They talked about their association with the reputed film personality who has also done a lot of television serials like Ramayan and Mahabharat. “For the world he was a wrestler”, said Sumeet Raghavan, “but for me, he was a child. He was truly a saint, his heart being very pure. He used to laugh like a child and was a gem of a person. Me and Daraji have done many scenes together in Hud Kar Di. It was a pleasant experience working with him.” He continued, “I still remember Daraji handling a new mobile phone which he had bought. His hands were so big that the phone looked like a lipstick actually. He tried to press the buttons but could not manage. So I used to tell him mujhe do mein help karta hoon.” Kavita Kaushik aka Chandramukhi Chautala of FIR tweeted, “Dara Singh, the handsome hanuman, India’s superman and hulk with a heart that of a baby, have had the privilege of working with him.. R.I.P. It was such a proud moment when Daraji told me he watches me on TV and loves my work (sic). ” We also got in touch in Eijaz Khan who shared screen with the legendary man in Kya Hoga Nimmo Kaa. “He played Dadaji’s role. He was a gentleman yet very professional. We always shared a good rapport. I never felt that I was much younger to him. He always used to guide and help me. He had an amazing sense of humor. On many occasions, he had to wait for me as I would not be able to come on the sets on time as I was also shooting for Kkavyanjali then. But never did I hear him grumble. I will miss him gravely.” Swapnil Joshi recounted, “He was very dear to me. I worked with him for a year in Hud Kar Di. It was my privilege having worked with him. He was very humble and a great human being. He always had respect for women and always stood up and talked to them politely. For me, he was the first ever He-Man of the industry. I pay my sincere condolences to his family. I will miss him a lot.” We all will miss you, Dara ji!!!
