MUMBAI: Star Bharat’s popular daily Saam Daam Dand Bhed has been constantly keeping the audience intrigued with its political and kitchen drama. The political thriller is all set to give the audience a different flavour in the upcoming track.

According to TellyChakkar’s exclusive information, a new entry will be seen in the soap opera produced by Shakuntalam Productions. The makers have roped in Indian film and television actress, Shubha Khote to play a key role in the show. The veteran actress is returning to the Hindi TV space after a hiatus of eight years.

Now coming to Khote’s connection with the story, well, in the upcoming track, Vijay (essayed by Bhanu Uday)’s grandmother will enter in the narrative, which will be played by the veteran actress.

The 78-year-old actress was last seen in the Bollywood flick Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017).

Shubha, who debuted on stage at the age of 4, is best known for her hilarious characters and impeccable comedy skills. In the show, Shubha’s character will add the fun element.

A little birdie reveals that with Daadi’s entry, Mandira (Sonal Vengurlekar) will be hugely favoured. She will believe that Mandira is her daughter-in-law and not Bulbul (Aishwarya Khare).

The actress has already begun the shooting for the series.

What do you think about Shubha Khote?

Another piece of good news coming from the sets is that the show has got an extension as well. An insider reveals that due to the constant ratings, the channel has given the programme an extension till October.

It would be really cherishing to see such an experienced actor back on the Hindi TV space after a long time. We couldn’t reach out to Khote to get a comment from her end.
