Vidya Malvade, aka Vidya Sharma of Chak De India fame, suffered a personal setback when her father (Mohan) suffered a heart attack yesterday in Mumbai. This incident fuelled speculation that Vidya could opt out of Colors’s reality show Fear Factor– which will be hosted by superstar Akshay Kumar. However, rubbishing such tales Programming Head (Colors) Ashwini Yardi says, “Vidya had called us to say that her father’s condition is stable and she’s very much on board Fear Factor. There’s no change in the schedule and the entire team will depart for South Africa by the end of May.” Vidya Malvade remained unavailable for comment. We wish her father a speedy recovery.
