Talented actor Vineet Raina believes in taking up work that is different and challenging. After being part of the first season of Punar Vivah, the actor waited for five long months as he was roped in to play the parallel lead in Balaji Telefilms’ Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus. However, after the long wait the actor could not fit into the bill owing to the replacement of the lead Cezanne Khan with Karan Patel. But now, the actor has moved on and is waiting eagerly to be part of a Norwegian show which will be shot both in India and Norway.
Says Raina, “Yes, I was looking forward to the Balaji Telefilms show. However, that did not happen as I was cast as the younger brother of the male lead when Cezanne Khan was to play the character. But when Karan Patel took over, I did not suit the role to the ‘T’; hence was dropped from the show. I am now all set to work in a Norwegian show, for which I will have the final meetings very soon.”
On the Norwegian project, the actor explains, “The show is about musicians, in which I have been offered the role of a DJ. I plan to take DJ coaching classes either from Global DJs or Suketu’s DJ Academy. A portion of the show will be shot in India while majority of the shoot will take place in Norway. The unit also plans to shoot at various DJ centres and track the life of budding musicians.”
On his next work on TV, Vineet says, “Well, I always believe in doing something that is different. I don’t take up work just for the heck of it, and am very choosy in my projects. I am always open to challenging roles. But as of now, my concentration will be on joining a coaching class to equip myself with the skills of a DJ so that I do a good job shooting for the Norwegian show.”
Ask Vineet Raina about reports that he recently shot for Ishq Kills, the upcoming romantic thriller on Star Plus and he states, “Well, I was offered to shoot the first episode. But things did not materialize and I had to refuse the offer.”
Vineet, we wish you all the luck for your new project.
