A page from the personal diary of Manasi Parekh There are so many fond memories to recount. My first fond memory is when I sat in front of my masterji at the age of eight or nine and learnt my first song. It was a Bengali song composed by great Rabindranath Tagore Jodi Tor Dakh Sune Keo Na Ase…. I was ecstatic to see and touch a harmonium for the first time in life. I always wanted to sing and that is the motivation which brought me to Star Ya Rockstar. I am performing well and recently was adjudged as the Star Performer of the Week. I am working hard to win the show. Furthermore, I have always believed that a well-educated person can become a great actor. I still remember the day when I got admission at the St Xavier’s College, Mumbai. I wanted to study there as it is one place that is filled with young, creative and intelligent minds. I pursued my Bachelors in Arts (English Literature) from the college. After that I sailed off to New York for two years to study theatre and dramatics. I met so many interesting people from diverse backgrounds, including filmmakers, musicians, actors, painters, among others. I returned enlightened and more intelligent. Finally, I still remember the day when I performed with my husband Parthiv at a college event. We fell in love in college and our performance together remains one of the fondest memories for both of us till date. There are many other memories which I will share some other time. But for now, I want to tell my fans that enjoy life and keep loving and appreciating my work. Ciao!!!
